Our video production company traveled to Nashville, TN to create event recap videos for ECMC Foundation’s 2022 Leadership Collaborative Convening.
The Story
In 2022, our video production company captured ECMC Foundation’s CTE Leadership Collaborative Convening in Nashville, Tennessee. This was the third year in a row our team was brought on board to create event recap videos for this convening. The convening brings together hundreds of people interested in advancing postsecondary CTE. Our team’s job is to shine a light on these individuals and the impact of this incredible event. We combined sit-down interviews with panel sessions and verité videography of participants engaging in meaningful conversations about postsecondary CTE. This included how CTE is well positioned to address many of the social impact challenges our country is facing. Additionally, we discussed equity and access in the CTE space and what work is being done to create solutions for the challenges mentioned. Ultimately, we wove these topics together to take the audience on a journey through the convening.
The Process
- Our process started with narrative work – our team collaborated with the ECMC Foundation on a theme for the 2022 video.
- Simultaneously, our in-house producer worked to put all the logistics into place. This included developing a schedule for filming, reaching out to interviewees, and organizing travel logistics for our production team.
- Once on site, our producer managed all logistics related to event video coverage.
- Our team of two captured all three days of action. This included panel sessions, workshops, interactive activities and interviews with various attendees and ECMC Foundation staff.
- We also had the opportunity to join attendees at the National Museum of African American Music. Here we filmed their dinner reception, live band, and attendees exploring the museum.
- The final asset was a 5-minute event recap video, which highlighted the key moments from the week.
The Result
ECMC Foundation’s hope is to direct future attendees to this video in order to drive engagement with this important work and showcase the impact of events like these.
