The Door LinkNYC Ads

Our video production company partnered with The Door to create two ads for LinkNYC kiosks across New York City.

The Story

The Door’s mission is to empower young people to reach their potential by providing comprehensive youth development services in a diverse and caring environment. In order to do so, young people in NYC need to know that these services exist to them, free of charge. Our video production company collaborated with The Door on two LinkNYC ads. These ads highlighted the depth of services young people can access at The Door. This includes healthcare, counseling, legal assistance, career development and recreational activities to name a few. The LinkNYC ads were created to drive awareness for The Door’s programming. They were geotargeted to key neighborhoods in the city and brought more young adults through their doors.

The Process

  • Our process started with narrative work – our team collaborated with The Door to ensure these ads nailed key messaging for young adults.
  • LinkNYC has very specific technical guidelines for media on their kiosks. Our team studied them to ensure our narrative and design plan was feasible within their technical specifications. 
  • Then, our in-house motion designer worked to create custom 2D, text and shape-based animations. She used The Door’s brand colors and website style as a design reference.
  • These custom animations included footage our team had previously filmed for The Door.
  • After several rounds of revisions on an expedited timeline, we delivered the final two videos. These were displayed on LinkNYC kiosks in key neighborhoods across NYC.
